What to Wear
Semi-formal attire requested, but please feel free to get creative! We plan on having an outdoor ceremony so dress for October weather. The Ceremony will be held on a lawn, so please wear an appropriate shoe. It is a 3-minute walk to Chinese Scholar's Garden along a gravel path, so ladies may want to choose an appropriate shoe. If you can walk in stilettos on grass and gravel, more power to you! Otherwise, a slightly thicker heel or a wedge may be your best bet.
Snug Harbor is located at 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301. It is easily accessible via car and public transportation. For guests taking public transportation to our wedding, please note that we will have a RETURN SHUTTLE at the END of our party. It will drop us off at the after party (location TBD).
By Public Transport (from Manhattan): Take the Staten Island Ferry from White Hall Terminal. You must get on the 1:30PM or 2PM ferry in order to arrive on time. After a 25-minute ride on the ferry, go DIRECTLY to the bus terminal and catch the S40 bus to Snug Harbor. Tell the bus driver you want to get off at Snug Harbor. Because the route runs along a curve by the water, it can be difficult to see the buildings of Snug Harbor coming up. Snug Harbor is 1.5 miles from the Ferry Terminal, a quick 7-10 minute ride. You will then have to walk across the park to our ceremony in the White Garden (map).
You may also hail a cab at the Ferry Terminal. Just follow the signs to the taxi pick up area. Request that the driver drop you off inside Snug Harbor, near the Ceremony (map).
By Car: Snug Harbor is located at 1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, NY 10301. Complete driving instructions can be found here.
Parking - important!
There are several parking lots at Snug Harbor. We recommend parking in the lot on Cottage Row, which is the most convenient parking lot and closest to our Tent Reception (map).
For guests with difficulty walking, we recommend driving into Snug Harbor and dropping off directly in front of the White Garden.
For your convenience, we have annotated a map of Snug Harbor.
